Wooden Dollars

Formal

An internal dispute over costs, margins, allocations etc. that make no difference whatsoever to the real profits and costs - it's just an internal departmental spat. The managers sitting above this row comment 'they are simply arguing over wooden dollars' - it doesn't change a thing.

Informal

An employee claims increased margins to those actually made on a deal. They want to take out transport, add back some costs etc. - all to maximise commission. Of course the company's profit is unchanged by all of this...the employee is simply arguing about 'unreal' or 'wooden' dollars.

What we do

At Shark Finesse we have developed an enterprise-grade cloud application to help businesses standardise and simplify their value engagements across the entire customer journey.
